I can't play this game too long unless I'm driving this thing. The sounds of the other vehicles drives me away.

WTF, am I looking at a PS2 game? Those GFXs , that clipping hand, that underwhelming sound...

Welcome to console games.

More like welcome to last-gen console games from a bad developer.

That sounds good?
I'm sorry but no.

I've seen a few current gen games. My cheap ass GTX 660 that I bought like 2 years ago runs circles around these new machines.

For GT6 it does.

I always had a hard time figuring out which I liked more (I'm a PC guy), but that's pretty bad. Forza it is!

You're going to have a hard time though finding a PC racing game built with the quality of Forza, though. PCs have the power, but not always the best games.

That's too bad. I think it's kind of silly to put so much stock in the sound. They're not great, but there's so much more to enjoy about the game. To each their own though

It kind of resembles internal combustion. Thats about as close as GT's sounds will get to being acceptable. Try the Red Bull car, the newest one. Its better than this.

I'm done with that series. I'm real good on not needing to re-buy content that's been in previous iterations of the series just because it's on a new platform. I don't even know how to buy that game — between all the pre-order stuff, the "VIP" member nonsense and the season pass bullshit.
Honestly, if I wanted Forza 4 on a modern machine it would cost over $100.
Honestly, if you need a hardcore racing sim the PC is where you need to be. Not this sissy money pit.

I tried to enjoy GT6 but now I'm kinda wanting my £40 back. At least I got 30 ish hours out of it...

It's a massive part of the experience of driving a car.

Definitely an improvement but the gear changes still sound like garbage.
Also my personal favourite from a video game.
Pre-tuned of course. Jags don't need no blow off valves.

I love that their make believe cars sound better than the real ones.

The gear shift sound transitions are pretty atrocious.

Well they promised they would fix the sound for GT7 and maybe GT6, so here's hoping.

damm you nice driving i just started to change my own gears is tough.

That sounds terrible. Where's the wind noise, transmission whine, brake squeel, anything that is not engine noise?

My go-to sim is rFactor, which was released in 2005. The graphics may not have all the HDR bloom crap that is considered "needed" these days, but the driving is rock solid, that's the most important thing.
